About Our Team

We made this website to help guide people through some of the hard decisions they must make when facing a breast cancer diagnosis. We are a team of breast cancer survivors, doctors, and decision scientists (researchers who study how people make decisions about healthcare, and how to best support them with information).

If you’ve decided to have a mastectomy, you’ve already made a hard decision. But, this decision means you are taking charge of your health. You’ve made a brave choice during a difficult time.

With mastectomy, you’ll be asked to make more choices:

  • Whether to have breast reconstruction surgery

  • When to have breast reconstruction surgery, if you want to have it

We’re here to support you through this decision by providing the facts and offering help to think about what’s most important to you.

Going through breast cancer diagnosis and treatment can be difficult. But, there are many people who want to help. That’s where we come in.
